According to the concept of single malts Glenfiddich Cask Collection series, production technology is not about the aging of the spirits but about the combination of taste and aroma. The unique composition is achieved by a complicated procedure of mixing spirits aged in different barrels for different periods of time. The final blend ages for two more months. For the Glenfiddich Select whiskey the barrels of fresh European oak are used as well as barrels where bourbon and some varieties of red wine were contained. This unique technology makes this spirit acquire an exquisite multi-faceted taste. It is sweet and soft with floral accents, hint of vanilla, toffee and oak wood. A faint note of citrus peel can be felt at the background. The combination of sweetness and spice is perfectly crowned with a shade of black pepper in the aftertaste.
