In 1810, Madame Clicquot broke new ground by creating the first vintage known in Champagne, a cuvee made up of grapes from a single harvest that was considered exceptionally good. The tradition lives on today, in the form of Veuve Clicquot Vintage. The year 2004 marks the 64th vintage made by the House. That year, the weather during the harvest was especially mild, ensuring the grapes were perfectly ripe and healthy with fruity and full-bodied Pinot Noir wines and elegant Chardonnays.
